Terms of Service
Last updated August 26, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and DRIS Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company, for your use of the DRIS AI Assistant (“DRIS,” “the app,” “we”) — the mobile app, the web app, and the service behind them. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
How your data is handled is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Who can use DRIS
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. One account is for one person — don't share it.
What DRIS does
DRIS is a personal AI assistant. It plans your day, tracks goals and habits, keeps notes and memory for you, and — when you connect them and grant permission — acts across services like your calendar and email.
You stay in control.Actions that reach the outside world, spend money, or change something you can't undo are gated behind your permission settings, and DRIS asks before taking them. You can tighten those settings, or use the panic switch to stop non-read actions entirely, at any time.
AI output is not professional advice
DRIS is powered by AI models, and AI models get things wrong. Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Nothing DRIS says is medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional or for emergency services.
Check anything important before you rely on it. Decisions you make with DRIS's help remain yours.
Your responsibilities
- Use DRIS lawfully. Don't use it to break the law, harm someone, harass anyone, or infringe anyone's rights.
- Don't try to defeat the app's safety limits, its permission gates, or the isolation between accounts.
- Don't attempt to access another user's data, probe or overload the service, or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows.
- Don't upload content you have no right to share, and don't connect accounts that aren't yours.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules.
Connected accounts
Connecting a third-party service (for example Google Calendar, Gmail, or a bank via Plaid) is entirely optional — the app works without any of them. When you connect one, you authorise DRIS to use it on your behalf within the scopes you approve, and your use of that service stays subject to that provider's own terms. You can disconnect any integration at any time in the app's settings.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into DRIS. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service for you — to store your content, process it (including through the AI providers we use), and show it back to you. We don't sell your content, and we don't use it to train third-party models.
We own the app itself — the software, design, and brand. These terms don't transfer any of that to you.
Beta software
DRIS is currently in testing. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted. It is provided as-is during this period, and you should keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Paid plans
DRIS may offer paid subscriptions and credit packs. Where it does, the price, billing period, and what's included are shown to you before you buy, and payment is handled by our payment processor or by the app store you purchased through.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the period already paid for. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also governed by that store's refund and cancellation policies, which you may need to use to cancel.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time — in the app, or from drisai.org/delete-account. Deleting removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we have to for legal or security reasons, or if we discontinue the service.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed opportunities arising from your use of DRIS. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. When we do, we revise the date at the top of this page, and we'll tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use DRIS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
DRIS AI is operated from the United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
