DRIS AI Assistant

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 26, 2026

The DRIS AI Assistant (“DRIS,” “the app,” “we”) is a personal AI assistant. It works for you, and only for you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep over it. We wrote it to be read — no dark patterns, no buried clauses.

The short version: your data is yours.Every user's information is sealed off from every other user's, we never sell it, and we only use it to do the things you ask the assistant to do.

Who we are

DRIS AI is operated by DRIS (drisai.org). For any privacy question, reach us at dris9corporation@gmail.com.

What we collect

We collect only what the assistant needs to work for you. Each of these is tied to your account and used only on your behalf:

  • Account & sign-in. Your email address and authentication identifier (e.g. Google sign-in or email/password) so we can create and secure your account.
  • Things you tell the assistant. Your goals, tasks, routines, habits, notes, check-ins, and the messages you send DRIS — this is the memory that lets it actually help.
  • Calendar. If you connect Google Calendar, we read and (when you ask) write events so DRIS can plan your day.
  • Email. If you connect Gmail, we access it only to perform actions you explicitly request (e.g. drafting a reply). DRIS drafts; you stay in control of what sends.
  • Contacts. If you grant access, contact details are used only to complete a task you ask for (e.g. reaching someone you named).
  • Health & activity. If you connect Apple Health, we read the metrics you choose to share so DRIS can support your health goals.
  • Financial connections. If you connect a bank via Plaid, access is read-only and used only for the budgeting features you turn on. We never store your bank credentials — Plaid handles that.
  • Push notification token.A device token so we can send the nudges, reminders, and alerts you've enabled.
  • Basic usage & diagnostics. Aggregate, non-identifying data about crashes and feature use so we can keep the app working.

Every integration above is opt-in. DRIS works without them; you connect only what you want it to help with, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.

How we use it

  • To run the assistant and the actions you ask it to take.
  • To remember context across sessions so DRIS feels like it knows you.
  • To send the reminders, nudges, and alerts you've turned on.
  • To keep your account secure and the app reliable.

We do not use your personal content to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone, for any reason.

Permissions & acting on your behalf

DRIS can take actions in the world — but only inside limits you set. You control how much autonomy it has, with a per-action permission system and a panic switch that instantly stops it from doing anything beyond reading. Higher-stakes actions (sending, spending, committing) always require your explicit approval. Every action DRIS takes is written to an audit log you can review.

How your data is protected

  • Isolated per user.Your data is enforced at the database level (row-level security) so one user's information can never reach another's by any path.
  • Encrypted in transit. All communication between the app and our servers uses TLS.
  • Least access. Connected services (calendar, email, etc.) are used only for the specific actions you request.

Who we share with

We share data only with the infrastructure providers that make the app run, and only to the extent needed:

  • Supabase — secure database and authentication.
  • Anthropic (Claude)— the AI model that powers the assistant's reasoning.
  • Google, Apple, Plaid — only for the integrations you choose to connect.
  • Stripe — payment processing, if you subscribe. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Expo / Apple / Google — to deliver push notifications.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices & rights

  • Connect or disconnect any integration at any time.
  • Use the panic switch to halt the assistant's actions.
  • Request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it, by emailing dris9corporation@gmail.com.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active so the assistant can do its job. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except where we're required to keep limited records (for example, basic billing records for tax and legal compliance).

Children

DRIS is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Governing law

DRIS AI is operated from the United States. This policy is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
